  • Placement is made on a space available basis. If classes are closed, you may be placed on a waiting list.

Placement Test
The Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment System (CASAS) is used to determine English language proficiency. Students are placed into a program based on their initial test results. Tests are given on Mondays and are by appointment only. The CASAS test may take several hours, so please plan accordingly. Please arrive on time for testing.

Ongoing assessments monitor students' progress in their studies. After 70 hours of class instruction, the students are post-tested for academic gains. Students are promoted based on standardized CASAS scores. There is no additional fee for this testing if the student has not previously withdrawn from the class.
