Our students explored the integumentary and musculoskeletal systems in the lab this week by completing dissections on chicken legs and thigh quarters! 🐔✨
Through this activity, they gained a deeper understanding of:
🩻 The importance of the integumentary system
🦴 The structure of bones, joints, and muscle groups
🧩 And what tendons, ligaments, and cartilage look like up close!
Real-world, hands-on experiences like these help prepare our students for successful healthcare careers! 💙

Our Emerald Coast Technical College Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning/Refrigeration (HVAC/R) 1 and 2 students rolled up their sleeves this week to repair and rebuild a walk-in cooler for the local Boy Scouts!
From wiring and troubleshooting electrical components to rebuilding refrigeration systems, these students are putting their skills and classroom knowledge into real-world practice—all while helping out a great community organization.
This project is a perfect example of what Career & Technical Education is all about—learning by doing, teamwork, and giving back.
We’re so proud of these hardworking students and their instructor for showing what it means to be workforce ready and community strong!

Last week, our PN students completed clinical rotations at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Bonifay, where they rotated through Med-Surg, ER, OR, and the IV Infusion Clinic. 💉 They practiced vital skills, including IM and subcutaneous injections, discontinuing IVs, and staple and suture removal—just to name a few.
On top of that, our students also gave back locally this week, assisting with 6th grade health screenings at Walton Middle School in DeFuniak Springs. 🩺💙
