Why does Walton Career Development Center have a new name?
The demand for relevant training for a high skilled workforce has been a goal but has not been communicated to our community as we would like. So in order to reflect more what we do the name change came at the right time. Our mission is to prepare and empower students for careers of today and beyond. Career and Job Training result in high skill, high wage careers.
What programs do you offer?
Our program offerings change with the job demands of our employers but current programs are listed on this website. Cosmetology, Cyber Security, Automotive Technology, Administrative Office Specialist, Computer Systems Information, Medical Administrative Specialist, Practical Nursing, Electricity, HVAC are a few If you think there is something we should offer, please let us know and we will check into it. We also offer GED preparation and Adult Basic Education for diploma retrieval.
When does the next program start?
Program start dates vary according to need, staffing enrollment and school calendar. Many of our programs have 4 entry points – August, October, January and March. Check with the Career Counselor for your specific program start date.
How do I get my parking decal or id badge?
Parking decals are issued by our Receptionist. You must bring a valid driver’s license, proof of title and proof of insurance plus a $10 fee. The parking decal is good for one entire school year.
ID badges are now required by all faculty, staff and students.
How do I apply for financial aid?
