In accordance with Section 1011.803, Florida Statutes, and Senate Bill 240 (2023), Emerald Coast Technical College participates in Florida's Money-Back Guarantee Program for designated Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.

• Phlebotomy – CIP 0351100901

• Practical Nursing – CIP 1315030200

• Welding Technologies – CIP 0615030307

Eligibility Requirements

Students may be eligible for a tuition refund under the Money-Back Guarantee Program if all of the following conditions are met:

• The student paid out-of-pocket for program costs and did not receive federal or state grants, scholarships, employer assistance, or third- party funding.

• The student successfully completed an eligible program.

• The student earned the required program certificate.

• The student passed the required industry certification or licensure examination within three months of program completion.

• The student met attendance requirements and maintained satisfactory conduct and academic performance as outlined in the ECTC Student Handbook.

• The student was unable to obtain employment in the field within six months of program completion.

• The student documented a good-faith job search, including at least 25 job applications and 10 interviews related to the field of study.

• The student registered with Employ Florida and provides proof of registration.

Applying for the Money-Back Guarantee

Eligible students must submit a request within 30 days after the six-month period following program completion.

Requests should include all required supporting documentation and may be submitted through Student Services.

Failure to provide complete documentation may delay or prevent approval of a refund request.
