Ms. Leavins received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of West Florida and her Master's in Educational Leadership. She served the students of Walton County as a classroom teacher and instructional coach before coming to Walton High School.

Assistant Principal
Mr. Ross serves as Assistant Principal at Walton High School, bringing more than a decade of educational leadership experience within Walton County School District. Prior to this role, he served as Principal of Van R. Butler Elementary School from 2019 to 2025, where he championed academic excellence, strengthened community partnerships, and supported innovative instructional practices. Mr. Ross is passionate about developing strong school cultures, supporting teachers, and preparing students for success in both college and career pathways.

TSA / Assistant Principal
Mrs. McKie earned a Bachelor's degree in physics and a Master's degree in Teaching from Lewis & Clark College, as well as Master's degrees in School Counseling (from the University of West Alabama) and Educational Leadership (from American College of Education). She’s been a part of our Braves family since 2011, serving in numerous roles including science teacher; AP physics teacher; guidance counselor for grades 9-12; testing & dual enrollment coordinator; and softball coach.
