Purple Star Schools
In 2021, Governor Ron DeSantis signed into law the Purple Star Campuses legislation, recognizing K-12 schools that provide identified support for the military child's transition and relocation within Florida. This program aims to help students as they relocate to new schools due to a parent’s change in duty station. Dune Lakes Elementary is proud to support its active-duty military service members and their families. Dune Lakes is proud to be recognized as a Purple Star School since 2023.
