Tabe Study Guide

TABE

TABE® the most comprehensive and reliable academic assessment product in adult basic education.  Educators use TABE testing to provide a solid foundation for effectively assessing the skills and knowledge of adult learners.  TABE provides a flexible system of diagnostic assessments and instructional materials to meet the diverse needs of today"s growing adult education market.

Students entering classes to prepare for the GED® take the TABE to determine class placement.  Students wishing to enter into a Career Technical Program at ECTC MAY be required to take initial TABE®, but should check with the school's career counselor to see if they meet one of the TABE® exemptions.

The TABE® is given on computer at ECTC, therefore students need to contact the school at 850-892-1241 to schedule a test.  For information on test dates, cost of testing, accommodations, and documentation required:
  1. Students wishing to enroll in adult education classes to prepare for GED® should contact the adult education instructor at 892-1240 ext. 5175.
  2. Students wishing to apply to postsecondary career and technical education programs should contact the career counselor at 892-1240 ext. 5182
